Doc blends his Tribute40 Whiskey with the sweet taste of natural cinnamon sticks.
This whiskey is over the top with corn flavor. It is of course 100% corn. The extra smooth taste comes from long slow mashing and fermenting. Doc collects only the best parts of the spirits from the still to assure a hearty corn flavor.

When Doc was experimenting with bourbon made with wheat instead of rye he created this Maple Whiskey. He thought the whiskey needed a little more flavor so he added some pure maple syrup. He didn’t think much about it until one day a close friend with a very well developed preference for Irish whiskeys tried it and was amazed at how much he liked it. Doc concluded that if the Maple Whiskey was good enough for Bob then it’s good enough to sell!

With equal parts science and art, over the years Doc Howard’s distillery has hand-crafted the just-right mix of locally sourced ingredients. Then Doc uses slow mashing, fermentation, distillation, custom purification and aging to produce flavorful whiskeys and rums. Fresh ingredients include corn, wheat, barley and rye, and a dash of spicy and sweet, including cinnamon sticks, cloves, pure maple syrup, cane sugar and molasses.
The seven varieties of whiskey and two types of rum are available by the bottle at 13 stores throughout Northeast Ohio, including Giant Eagle stores in Lyndhurst, Madison, Chardon, Willoughby, Geneva, Painesville and Mentor-on-the-Lake; World Wine & Liquor in Mentor; Shoregate Beverage in Willowick; Fairport Harbor Beverage; Grumpy Grandpa in Ashtabula; Green Road Liquor in University Heights; and Silver Spirits in Akron. Not all locations carry our entire line of spirits. If you are shopping at your favorite store and don’t see the products, be sure to ask the owner or manager why not.

Doc Howard’s Distillery is part of the Northern Oho Distillery Passport. This Passport is a collaborative effort of 13 independent local craft distilleries. The idea is to introduce the fine craft spirits bring produced right here in Northeast Ohio.
You are invited to visit Doc’s, pick up your passport, take a tour and get it stamped. Then visit the other 12 distilleries and sample their excellent products. When you get all 13 stamps, you secure your ticket to the inaugural Distiller’s Ball. This program runs through October 1.
